Peninsula Urgent Care Accepts a Variety of Insurance Plans

Dealing with insurance can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not feeling well. At Peninsula Urgent Care, we work hard to make healthcare access simple by accepting a wide variety of commercial health insurance plans.

You can review our list of accepted insurance providers below and know there may be carriers we accept that are not listed. We recommend confirming directly with your insurance provider or calling our office to verify your benefits before your visit.

Please note: Peninsula Urgent Care does not accept Kaiser insurance.

No Insurance? Self-Pay is Available

If you’re between healthcare plans, you can still count on Peninsula Urgent Care to provide the care you need and deserve. We’re proud to offer affordable self-pay options so you can access high-quality urgent care without going through an insurance provider.

Our friendly staff is always available to review payment options and answer any questions about self-pay costs upfront there are no surprises.

FAQs

What forms of payment do you accept?

Visa Mastercard American Express Discover

We accept a variety of payment methods to make your visit as convenient as possible. We gladly accept cash, Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, and American Express®.

For patients looking for more flexibility, we also offer Cherry Financing, which allows you to split your medical expenses into manageable monthly payments.

What is my co-pay going to be?

Urgent care copays are usually listed right on your insurance card. You can also call your insurance provider directly to confirm, or our staff will be happy to check your benefits when you arrive. Please note: copays are due at the time of your visit.

What if I forget to bring my insurance card?

We understand that emergencies and urgent situations don’t always give you time to gather everything. If you forget to bring your insurance card, our team will do our best to locate your insurance information online. If we are unable to verify your coverage, we offer convenient self-pay options so you can still receive the care you need without delay.

Do I need to have insurance to see a provider?

No, you do not need insurance to be seen by one of our providers. We are happy to welcome all patients, whether you have insurance or prefer to pay out-of-pocket. Our self-pay options ensure that quality urgent care is accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of insurance status.

Who can I call about a billing question?

Our billing department is here to help with any questions or concerns about your account. You can reach our billing specialists during regular business hours at (877) 782-0300 or (424) 455-2273. We will be happy to explain charges, discuss payment plans, or address any billing-related issues you may have.

Why do I owe a balance for my visit?

Even if you have health insurance, you may still have a balance due after your claim is processed. If Peninsula Urgent Care is in-network with your health plan, this balance may be the result of an unmet deductible or other costs your insurance company has assigned as your responsibility.

If Peninsula Urgent Care is out-of-network, these amounts may be higher. In addition, any services not covered by your insurance plan may be billed directly to you. We recommend contacting your insurance company before your visit to confirm whether Peninsula Urgent Care is in-network or out-of-network for your plan.

For questions about your bill, please call the number listed on your billing statement or contact our office and follow the prompts to reach our billing department.

Why did I receive a separate bill from an outside lab?

Please be aware that some lab tests ordered by our providers may be sent to outside laboratories for processing. These labs operate independently from Peninsula Urgent Care and will bill you separately for their services. Coverage for outside lab services may vary, and some labs may not accept your insurance. Peninsula Urgent Care is not responsible for charges from outside laboratories. We recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to verify coverage for any lab services and notifying our staff at the time of your visit if you have specific lab or insurance preferences.

We believe in providing you with high-quality healthcare, no matter your insurance coverage or status. For more information, please reach out to Peninsula Urgent Care in Torrance, California, by calling (877) 782-0300 or (424) 455-2273. We look forward to serving your healthcare needs.
